Haryana Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi announced a ₹15 lakh grant for Gurjar Dharamshala in Kurukshetra during a Shri Krishna Janmashtami programme.

Haryana Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi said that under the leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, the state government is working on the principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas. The government is taking all communities and sections of society along and is fully committed to the development and beautification of Dharamshalas belonging to all communities. He said that the Gurjar community has a glorious history and has always been at the forefront of protecting patriotism, valour, religion and culture.

The Minister was speaking at a programme organised by the Kurukshetra Gurjar Dharamshala Management Committee at the Dharamshala premises on the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami on Friday. Cabinet Minister Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi extended his warm greetings to the people of the state on Shri Krishna Janmashtami and announced a grant of Rs. 15 lakh for the Gurjar Dharamshala. The programme was presided over by former MLA Leelaram Gurjar.

The Minister said that institutions such as Gurjar Dharamshala are playing an important role in preserving our culture and heritage and in imparting values to the coming generations. Such Dharamshalas are not merely buildings, but symbols of unity, organisation and brotherhood in society. He said that through His life and the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Shri Krishna inspired all of humanity to follow the path of duty, righteousness and truth. The life of Lord Krishna teaches us that whenever unrighteousness and injustice increase on earth, the Lord incarnates to establish righteousness.

On the occasion, Gurjar Dharamshala Committee President Rishipal Kasana, Ashok Sirsi, Ashok Gurjar, Jat Sabha President Krishan Sheokand and other dignitaries were present.
