Free Petrol Langar Postponed in Chandigarh

The free petrol langar planned for Chandigarh's Sector 10 and Sector 7 has been postponed for now. Businessman Rakesh Trehan, popularly known as ‘Raja D King’, said the event will remain suspended until official permission is received from the police and local administration.

Trehan appealed to people not to gather at petrol pumps or other locations to collect free fuel.

Previous Event Saw Massive Turnout

Trehan said the earlier event held on April 18 attracted an overwhelming number of people. Heavy rain further complicated the situation, while a large number of vehicles caused traffic congestion and inconvenience for commuters.

He said repeating the event without official approval would not be appropriate.

New Date Only After Official Permission

According to Trehan, the next date for the free petrol langar will be announced only after the required permissions are obtained from the authorities.

The organiser said the decision has been taken to avoid unnecessary crowding and possible traffic and safety issues.

August 21-23 Announcement Cancelled

Trehan also clarified that the earlier announcement regarding the free petrol langar from August 21 to August 23 has been cancelled.

People have been urged not to rely on old social media posts and not to visit the Sector 10 petrol pump or other locations expecting free petrol.

Public Asked to Avoid Unnecessary Crowds

The organiser appealed to the public to wait for an official announcement regarding the next date.

Until the necessary permissions are received, the free petrol langar will remain suspended. Any new date will be announced after approval from the concerned authorities.
