CM Nayab Singh Saini Takes Strict Action in Gurugram, Builder Warned of FIR Over 33-kV Substation Land
CM Reviews Public Grievances in Gurugram
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini chaired a meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievances Committee in Gurugram on Friday and reviewed complaints related to civic amenities, traffic, electricity supply and unauthorised colonies.
The Chief Minister said the state government is continuously working to improve civic systems and provide better facilities to residents.
Of the 17 complaints taken up during the meeting, 14 were resolved on the spot, while three were deferred to the next meeting. Officials were directed to submit status reports on the pending cases.
Builder Told to Provide Land for 33-kV Substation
Residents and representatives of the welfare association at Pioneer Industrial Park on Bilaspur-Tauru Road raised concerns over the developer's failure to provide land earmarked for a 33-kV power substation.
They said the delay was affecting power supply to industrial units in the area.
Taking serious note of the complaint, CM Nayab Singh Saini directed officials to ensure that the developer immediately provides the required land.
He made it clear that if the builder fails to cooperate, an FIR should be registered and necessary legal action initiated.
The CM also directed officials to accord priority to construction of the substation to ensure regular and uninterrupted power supply to the industrial area.
E-Rickshaw Stands to Be Designated in Sadar Bazar
Traffic congestion in Sadar Bazar was also discussed during the meeting.
The stretch between Post Office Chowk and the bus stand remains heavily congested, with e-rickshaws, autorickshaws and other vehicles often parked along the road.
The Chief Minister directed civic authorities to identify designated e-rickshaw stands and suitable locations for passenger pick-up and drop-off.
He also ordered regular anti-encroachment drives on the main approach to Sadar Bazar to improve traffic movement and keep roads clear.
FIRs Ordered Against Illegal Colonisers
Residents of Krishna Colony in Jhund Sarai Viran complained that the colony had allegedly been developed in violation of prescribed norms.
They also alleged that land earmarked for a road was being sold and that attempts were being made to occupy it.
Taking serious note of the complaint, CM Nayab Singh Saini directed authorities to register FIRs against colonisers involved in developing unauthorised colonies, as per law.
He said negligence would not be tolerated when people are misled into investing their hard-earned money in illegally developed colonies.
CM Calls for Permanent Solutions
The Chief Minister said the government should focus on permanent solutions rather than temporary relief.
Departments were directed to identify the root causes of recurring problems and take effective measures so residents do not have to face the same issues repeatedly.
He also directed officials to regularly review complaints and compliance with previous directions and ensure that pending cases are resolved on priority.
