New Delhi, September 18, 2026: Delhi-NCR is likely to experience light to moderate rain on Friday, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting partly cloudy skies and intermittent showers in some areas. The weather department has not issued any warning for heavy rainfall, storms or thunderstorms.
Temperature to remain up to 35°C
The maximum temperature is expected to remain between 33°C and 35°C, while the minimum temperature may settle between 23°C and 25°C. Humidity is likely to remain around 60 to 80 per cent, which could add to discomfort during the day.
Rain activity weakens as monsoon withdraws
As the southwest monsoon begins to withdraw, rainfall activity over Delhi-NCR has weakened. The region is expected to remain partly cloudy over the next 24 hours, with occasional clear spells. Light rain or drizzle may occur at isolated locations, with the probability of rainfall estimated at around 5 to 12 per cent. Several parts of Delhi-NCR and Uttar Pradesh received rain accompanied by strong winds on Thursday. Snowfall was also reported from some hilly areas, providing relief to tourists. According to the forecast, weather conditions in Delhi and adjoining areas are likely to remain largely clear, although isolated rainfall cannot be ruled out.
