Haryana CM Nayab Saini Celebrates Raksha Bandhan at Sant Kabir Kutir
Chandigarh, August 28, 2026: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini celebrated Raksha Bandhan at Sant Kabir Kutir on Friday, where schoolgirls tied rakhis to him and representatives of social organisations and other dignitaries joined the celebrations.
The Chief Minister blessed the schoolgirls and wished them a bright future. His wife, Smt. Suman Saini, was also present during the celebrations.
CM Saini Extends Raksha Bandhan Greetings
Extending his greetings to the people of Haryana, Saini said Raksha Bandhan symbolises the sacred bond of love, affection and trust between brothers and sisters.
He said the festival also serves as a reminder of society’s responsibility towards the respect, safety and empowerment of daughters and sisters.
“Our daughters are the strength of our society and our state. A strong society can be built only by ensuring education, dignity and a safe environment for them,” Saini said.
The Chief Minister said the Haryana Government was continuously working to ensure dignity and safety for women and girls while providing them equal opportunities to move forward.
CM Highlights Social Harmony
Saini also said festivals such as Raksha Bandhan strengthen social harmony, mutual affection and the spirit of brotherhood.
Representatives of various social organisations and dignitaries present at Sant Kabir Kutir also extended their Raksha Bandhan greetings to the Chief Minister.
Thanking them, Saini said social organisations have an important role in strengthening the spirit of service, cooperation and brotherhood in society.
