Haryana Government Announces Up to ₹4,000 Financial Assistance for Cotton Farmers
Chandigarh, August 26, 2026: The Haryana government has announced financial assistance of up to ₹4,000 per cotton-growing farmer for adopting micronutrients and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices aimed at increasing cotton productivity and protecting crops from pests.
Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana said the assistance will be provided under a special scheme introduced for cotton growers in the state.
Farmers to Get 50% Subsidy on Inputs
Under the scheme, farmers will receive a subsidy equivalent to 50 per cent of the cost of agricultural inputs used for micronutrients and Integrated Pest Management.
The assistance will be capped at ₹2,000 per acre, whichever is lower, with the benefit available for a maximum of two acres.
This means an eligible farmer can receive financial assistance of up to ₹4,000 under the scheme.
Inputs Must Follow HAU Recommendations
Minister Shyam Singh Rana said farmers must purchase the eligible agricultural inputs strictly according to the recommendations of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCS HAU), Hisar.
The inputs must be purchased from semi-government agencies, cooperative societies or authorised dealers.
After purchasing the inputs, farmers will have to upload their purchase bills on the official Agriculture Department portal to claim the subsidy.
September 15 Last Date to Upload Bills
The Agriculture Department has fixed September 15, 2026, as the last date for uploading purchase bills.
The minister urged eligible cotton farmers to complete the process within the stipulated deadline and take advantage of the financial assistance being offered under the scheme.
