IED Recovered Near Chandigarh Sector-43 Bus Stand, Security Tightened; Probe Underway
Chandigarh, August 23: Security agencies were put on alert after an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was found in a forested area behind the Sector-43 bus stand in Chandigarh.
Soon after receiving information about the suspected explosive device, police cordoned off the area and tightened security arrangements around the bus stand and adjoining locations.
Several Suspicious Individuals Detained
According to the information available, police have detained several suspicious individuals in connection with the case.
Preliminary information suggests that some of the detained individuals may have links to Punjab. However, police have not yet released detailed official information about their identities or clarified their alleged role in the recovery of the suspected explosive device.
