The State Bank of India (SBI), Chandigarh Circle, celebrated its 71st Bank Day with great enthusiasm by organizing a Circle-level cultural programme at Tagore Theatre, Sector 18, Chandigarh. The event brought together distinguished guests, customers, bank employees, retired officers and staff, along with their family members, to commemorate SBI's glorious journey spanning more than seven decades.
Mr. Amaresh Kumar Jha, Chief General Manager, Chandigarh Circle, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
During the cultural programme, employees showcased the rich cultural diversity of various Indian states and Union Territories through folk dances, songs, qawwalis, instrumental performances, poetry recitations, and other cultural presentations. These performances highlighted the cultural richness of the Chandigarh Circle as well as the diverse talents of its employees.
As part of the 71st Bank Day celebrations, children of SBI employees who emerged as winners in the "Growing Up with SBI" competition were felicitated by Mr. Amaresh Kumar Jha, Chief General Manager, Chandigarh Circle, in recognition of their outstanding achievements.
In his address, Mr. Jha highlighted SBI's proud legacy of trust, customer service, and nation-building. He reaffirmed the Bank's commitment to innovation, financial inclusion, and customer-centric banking. Appreciating the efforts of the participants and the organizing committee, he encouraged employees to embrace the motto "Customer First, Digital First, Nation Always" and continue working with integrity, excellence, and a strong spirit of teamwork.
The programme concluded on a joyful note, further strengthening the bonds of camaraderie, unity, and belonging among employees and their families.
