5 New Electric Cars Expected to Launch in India Soon, From Tata to Mahindra
India's electric car market is expanding rapidly, with automakers preparing new models across different price and vehicle segments. From compact EVs for daily commuting to premium electric SUVs, several new models could arrive in the Indian market soon.
Tata Aris EV
Tata Motors is expected to introduce the facelifted version of the Tigor EV under the Aris EV name. The electric sedan could receive revised headlamps, new bumpers and connected tail-lamps.It may continue with 19 kWh and 24 kWh battery options. The model is reportedly expected to be launched on September 25.
Tata Safari EV
The Safari EV could become Tata's flagship electric SUV in India. The seven-seater model is expected to feature a premium cabin along with a panoramic sunroof and triple-screen setup.It could be offered with 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery packs, with a claimed range of around 627 km. An AWD option may also be available on higher variants.
Hyundai HE1i
Hyundai is preparing a new sub-four-metre electric vehicle for India, reportedly called the HE1i. The compact EV could compete with models such as the Tata Punch EV.The car may get 42 kWh and 49 kWh battery options, with both versions expected to offer more than 300 km of range. Features such as ADAS, ventilated seats and a sunroof could also be offered.
Mahindra BE 07
Mahindra's BE 07 is expected to join the company's Born Electric range next year. The mid-size electric SUV could feature a futuristic design and several technology-focused features.Expected battery options include 59 kWh, 70 kWh and 79 kWh. A triple-screen setup, frameless doors and a glass roof could be among its highlights.
JSW iCar V23
JSW Motors is also preparing to bring the iCar V23 to India. The electric SUV will have a rugged, boxy design inspired by traditional off-road vehicles.It could feature a 15.4-inch touchscreen and panoramic sunroof, along with 59.93 kWh RWD and 81.76 kWh AWD battery options.With these launches, Indian EV buyers could soon have more choices across compact cars, sedans and electric SUVs.
