Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena said that to protect children from a serious disease like polio, every child must be administered polio drops. India has achieved historic success in polio eradication, and the cooperation of all citizens is essential to maintain this achievement. No child should be left out of the polio vaccination. The National Pulse Polio Campaign will be organized in Kurukshetra district on June 28, 2026. Under this campaign, polio drops will be administered to children aged 0 to 5 years at polio booths on June 28, and through door-to-door visits on June 29 and 30.
Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena stated that a target has been set to administer polio drops to approximately 96,168 children in the district. For this purpose, 682 booths, 36 transit teams, 48 mobile teams, and 112 supervisors have been deployed across the district. All preparations have been completed by the Health Department. He mentioned that children living in brick kilns, slum areas, construction sites, and nomadic or migrant population areas will be covered on a priority basis during the campaign. Special arrangements have also been made to administer polio drops to newborns and children of traveling families.
Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena has called upon the Education Department, Women and Child Development Department, Panchayati Raj Institutions, Municipal Council, Red Cross, voluntary organizations, and other related departments to cooperate in making the campaign a success. He appealed to all public representatives, sarpanches, anganwadi workers, and social organizations to create awareness among the people and bring the maximum number of children to the polio booths.
He urged parents to bring all their children aged 0 to 5 years to the nearest polio booth on June 28 and ensure they receive two drops of polio vaccine. Remember—every child, every time, two drops of polio vaccine are a must.
