New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended his greetings to the workers of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on the organisation’s Foundation Day, appreciating its longstanding contribution to student leadership and national development.
In a post shared on social media, Shah said that the ABVP has been working in line with the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, focusing on organising student power and fostering a strong sense of patriotism among the youth.
The Home Minister highlighted the organisation’s active role in several significant national movements. He said that whether it was the struggle against the Emergency or raising the issue of infiltration in the Northeast, the ABVP has consistently encouraged young people to take a leading role in nation-building.
Expressing confidence in the organisation’s future, Shah said the ABVP would continue to stand firmly in the face of every challenge confronting the nation. He also expressed hope that the student body would keep inspiring the younger generation to place national interest above all else.
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is one of India's largest student organisations and marks its Foundation Day every year with programmes and events across the country.
