Delhi CM Rekha Gupta urged people to light ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ on September 17 for PM Modi’s birthday as part of the month-long Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan.

New Delhi, September 1: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has appealed to people in the national capital to light an ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17. In a video message posted on X, Gupta urged families to light an earthen lamp between 6 pm and 7 pm and pray for the Prime Minister’s good health, long life and continued strength. She said the initiative would allow people to convey their blessings to Modi on his birthday.

Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan from September 17

The BJP and Delhi government will organize various programmes under the ‘Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan’ from September 17 to October 17. The Chief Minister had earlier announced projects worth Rs 13,800 crore to be launched during the month-long campaign. Gupta said Delhi would observe the period with initiatives focused on service, good governance and the welfare of the poor. She also said the campaign would seek to advance the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat’ through ‘Viksit Delhi’, referring to the principles of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas.
