Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Interacts with Students from 14 Countries, Urges Them to ‘Go Global’
Chandigarh, August 20: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday interacted with a delegation of international students from 14 countries studying at universities across the state and urged them to adopt a “Go Global” outlook.
Students from several African nations and other countries participated in the interaction. They are pursuing their studies at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, Kurukshetra University and Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana.
The interaction was organised by the Haryana government's Foreign Cooperation Department as part of efforts to strengthen the state's international engagement and expand global opportunities for its youth.
Focus on AI and Emerging Technologies
Saini said rapid advances in artificial intelligence, robotics and other modern technologies were creating new opportunities in education, healthcare, agriculture and several other sectors.
He urged young people to continue learning, adopt emerging technologies and keep pace with a rapidly changing world.
The Chief Minister encouraged the students to embrace a “Go Global” approach and take advantage of opportunities available across the world.
He also emphasised that education is not the final destination in life but the beginning of a journey ahead.
Students Share Their Haryana Experience
During the interaction, Saini asked the students about their studies, research work and experiences of living in Haryana.
The students spoke about the academic environment at their universities, their research activities and their interactions with people in the state. They also shared their impressions of Haryana's culture and traditions.
An Afghan student who completed her PhD at Haryana Agricultural University was among those present. She shared her experience of spending seven years in Haryana and interacted with the Chief Minister entirely in Hindi.
Other international students said their time in Haryana had enabled them to pursue their academic interests while also gaining an understanding of Indian and Haryanvi culture.
International Students as ‘Brand Ambassadors’
Saini said international students could become “brand ambassadors” of Haryana by sharing their positive experiences about the state's education, culture and people in their home countries.
He encouraged them to use the knowledge and experience acquired in Haryana to contribute to the development of their respective countries.
The Chief Minister urged the students to pursue their careers with hard work, dedication and a commitment to continuous learning, while extending his best wishes for their future.
Strengthening People-to-People Connections
Saini said Haryana's engagement with other countries was not limited to government-to-government relations but also aimed at building “heart-to-heart connections.”
Referring to the principle of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's message of “One Earth, One Family, One Future” reflected the spirit being carried forward by the state government.
He said international students returning home after completing their education take back not only their degrees but also an understanding of Haryana's culture, traditions and people.
Through these students, people-to-people connections can be strengthened, further deepening mutual understanding, cooperation and trust between Haryana and their respective countries.
