India and Indonesia have taken a major step toward strengthening their partnership in higher education. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore will establish its first overseas campus in Indonesia.
The new campus will be located at the Singhasari Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in East Java. It is expected to cater not only to Indonesian students but also to learners, professionals, and entrepreneurs from across the ASEAN region, offering world-class management education and executive learning opportunities.
This initiative marks a significant milestone in educational cooperation between the two nations. It aims to promote academic collaboration, encourage innovation, support research, and enhance skill development while fostering stronger ties between educational institutions and industries.
