IMD Issues Rainfall Alerts Across Several States, Heavy Rain Expected in North India
New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued weather warnings for several parts of the country, forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall along with thunderstorms and lightning in a number of states.
The Met Department has issued an orange alert for East Madhya Pradesh, where heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected tomorrow.
Heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning has also been forecast over Bihar, East Rajasthan, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh.
Meanwhile, heavy rain is likely in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha, Maharashtra, Odisha, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
Flooding Continues in Jharkhand
Several parts of Jharkhand continue to face flooding and waterlogging following heavy rainfall over the past few days.
Although water levels in some rivers have started receding after the rain weakened, the administration remains on alert and is closely monitoring the situation in affected areas.
Residents in areas under heavy rainfall warnings have been advised to follow local authorities and weather department updates.
