India Shines in Latest World Boxing Rankings; Jaismine Lamboria Climbs to World No. 1

Indian boxers have continued their impressive rise on the global stage, securing top positions in the latest World Boxing Rankings and reinforcing the country's growing dominance in international boxing.
Leading the charge is Jaismine Lamboria, who has climbed to the World No. 1 spot in the women's 57kg category. Her achievement highlights India's increasing strength in women's boxing and marks a significant milestone in her career.
India's success was further boosted by Asian champions Priya Ghanghas and Vishvanath Suresh, who surged into the top three of their respective weight categories. Priya is now ranked among the world's top three in the women's 60kg division, while Vishvanath Suresh has secured a top-three ranking in the men's 50kg category.
In the women's rankings, Minakshi continued her dominance by retaining the World No. 1 position in the 48kg category. Preeti also made significant progress, rising to World No. 3.
Several Indian women boxers maintained their strong global standing, with Arundhati Choudhary (70kg), Pooja Rani (80kg), and Nupur (+80kg) all securing the World No. 2 ranking in their respective divisions.
India's experienced campaigners Nikhat Zareen (51kg) and Lovlina Borgohain (75kg) also retained their places among the world's elite boxers.
In the men's rankings, Sachin Siwach and Narender Berwal entered the Top 5 after a series of impressive international performances. Hitesh Gulia retained his World No. 6 ranking in the 70kg category, while Abhinash Jamwal was ranked eighth in the 65kg division.
Akash (75kg) and Lokesh (85kg) also earned places among the world's top 10 boxers, reflecting the depth of India's boxing talent across multiple weight categories.
The latest rankings underline India's growing stature in world boxing and highlight the consistent performances of its athletes on the international circuit.
