Monsoon Session of Parliament to Conclude Today

New Delhi, August 13, 2026: The Monsoon Session of Parliament is set to conclude today, bringing the proceedings that began on July 20 to an end. The final day of the session is scheduled to witness important legislative business in both Houses.

The Rajya Sabha is scheduled to take up the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026 for consideration and passage. The Bill is expected to be among the key legislative matters on the agenda on the concluding day of the session.

Both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are also scheduled to take up Private Member’s Business. This provides Members of Parliament an opportunity to raise and discuss Bills and resolutions introduced by individual MPs rather than by the government.

The final day of the Monsoon Session is likely to remain significant as Parliament completes its scheduled business before the session comes to an end.

With today's proceedings, the Monsoon Session, which commenced on July 20, will conclude on August 13.
