MY Bharat Launches Nationwide Youth Competitions Under Anti-Drug Campaign; Registrations Begin July 13
New Delhi: The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, through Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), has announced the launch of district-level competitions under the nationwide ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat’ campaign. Registrations for the competitions opened on July 13.
The initiative aims to engage young people in the fight against substance abuse by encouraging creative expression and spreading awareness through art, culture and digital storytelling. The campaign is aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 and seeks to transform the fight against drug abuse into a nationwide people’s movement.
The competitions will be conducted in a three-tier format—starting at the district level, followed by state-level contests and ending with a national finale at the National Youth Summit in New Delhi.
According to the Ministry, district-level competitions will be held from July 24 to 27. The top three entries from each category at the district level will qualify for the state rounds, scheduled from July 30 to August 6. Winners of the state competitions will represent their respective states at the national-level finale on August 12 and 13 in New Delhi.
The campaign will include five creative categories: dance, music, reel and short film, nukkad natak (street play), and slam poetry. Through these platforms, young participants will highlight the harmful effects of substance abuse and promote the message of a drug-free society.
The competitions are open to youth aged 15 to 29 years, with both individual and group participation allowed. Entries can be submitted in Hindi, English or any regional language to ensure wider participation across the country.
Participants are required to register and upload their creative submissions through the MY Bharat portal. The Ministry has encouraged young people nationwide to actively participate and use their creativity as a tool for social change, strengthening the movement towards a developed and drug-free India by 2047.
