Kawasaki Versys 1100 launched in India
New Delhi: Kawasaki India has launched the 2027 Kawasaki Versys 1100 in the country. The adventure touring motorcycle is available in a fully loaded Standard variant with a new colour option, while its major mechanical and design elements remain unchanged. The bike continues to focus on long-distance touring with a comfortable riding position, large fuel tank and a comprehensive electronics package.
Design and touring-focused features
The Versys 1100 gets twin LED headlamps, compact LED indicators, wide front shrouds and a steplessly adjustable windscreen. It also features split seats with thick urethane cushioning for the rider and pillion. The upright riding position is designed to improve comfort on longer journeys. A 21-litre fuel tank and 17-inch wheels at both ends further support its touring character.
Feature-packed electronics
The motorcycle comes with all-LED lighting, electronic cruise control and a handlebar-mounted USB Type-C charging port. Its electronics package includes an IMU-based system, three-mode KTRC traction control, multiple power modes, ABS, Kawasaki Cornering Management Function, engine brake control, electronic throttle valves and an assist and slipper clutch.
1,099cc engine produces 135 PS
The Versys 1100 is powered by a 1,099cc liquid-cooled, four-cylinder inline engine. It produces 135 PS at 9,000 rpmand 112 Nm of peak torque at 7,600 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox. Kawasaki's official figure for the motorcycle is 135 PS.
Suspension, brakes and dimensions
The motorcycle gets 43mm telescopic front forks and a horizontal back-link gas-charged monoshock at the rear. The rear setup offers rebound damping and remote spring preload adjustment. Braking duties are handled by dual front discs and a single rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS.
The bike runs on 120/70 ZR17 front and 180/55 ZR17 rear tubeless tyres. It has an 820mm seat height, 150mm ground clearance and 1,520mm wheelbase. Its kerb mass stands at 257kg.
What has changed in the 2027 model?
The 2027 Kawasaki Versys 1100 does not bring major mechanical or cosmetic changes. The 1,099cc engine, 135 PS/112 Nm output, 21-litre fuel tank, 17-inch wheels and electronic riding aids continue largely unchanged.
The key update is the new colour option, making the latest motorcycle more of a model-year update than a major redesign.
