Oil marketing companies have announced a significant reduction in the price of 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinders, bringing welcome relief to businesses that rely heavily on cooking gas. The revised prices came into effect today, with the cost of a commercial LPG cylinder reduced by ₹183.50.
According to the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), the price of a 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has been cut to ₹2,930 following the latest revision. Similar price reductions are expected across other cities, with rates varying depending on local taxes and transportation costs.
The price cut is expected to benefit restaurants, hotels, dhabas, cafés, catering services and other food and beverage establishments, where commercial LPG is an essential part of daily operations. Lower fuel costs can help businesses reduce operating expenses, especially at a time when many are dealing with rising input costs.
Industry experts believe the reduction may also help small and medium-sized food businesses improve their profit margins. In some cases, the savings could be passed on to customers through stable or more competitive menu prices.
However, there has been no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinders used by households. The latest revision applies only to 19-kilogram commercial cylinders used for business purposes.
