Leaders greet PM Modi on his 76th birthday
New Delhi, September 17: President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar extended birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday. Their messages highlighted his public life and India’s development journey.
Born on September 17, 1950, in Vadnagar, Gujarat, PM Modi turned 76 on Thursday.
President Murmu highlights 25 years in public life
President Murmu said PM Modi had set new benchmarks in governance and given fresh momentum and direction to inclusive development during his 25 years in public life as Chief Minister and Prime Minister. She also referred to India’s progress in modern development alongside its cultural heritage and wished Modi good health and a long life for continued public service.
VP Radhakrishnan highlights development and digital transformation
Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan highlighted developments in areas including space, technology, healthcare, infrastructure and manufacturing, as well as India’s digital transformation. He also referred to initiatives such as Aspirational Districts, Vibrant and First Villages and the Northeast as Ashtalakshmi. Radhakrishnan said his travels across states and Union Territories had given him an opportunity to see changes reaching remote parts of the country.
Om Birla highlights development and public welfare
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said India was gaining a new identity on the global stage and highlighted development, self-reliance, innovation, digital progress, infrastructure and public welfare. He also referred to Modi’s more than 25 years in public life and wished him good health, long life and continued strength.
Rajnath Singh and Jaishankar extend wishes
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also wished PM Modi on his birthday, highlighting the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047, infrastructure, digital connectivity, welfare, innovation and entrepreneurship. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar joined the birthday greetings, wishing the Prime Minister good health, success and many more years in public service.
