The South Central Railway has suspended a Ticket Checker (TC) after a private decorator allegedly entered a First AC coupe without proper authorization on the Nandigram Express.
According to railway officials, a couple travelling on the train had hired a private decorator through an online platform to decorate their First AC coupe. However, the decorator’s entry into the premium coach was not authorized and was considered a serious security lapse.
The railway administration said that allowing an unauthorized person access to a First AC compartment raises security concerns, and immediate action was taken against the concerned Ticket Checker.
South Central Railway has ordered a detailed departmental inquiry into the incident. Officials stated that further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
The railway has reiterated that strict protocols must be followed for passenger safety and that unauthorized access to reserved coaches will not be permitted.
