Satwik-Chirag Continue China Masters Run
Shenzhen, September 4, 2026: India’s men’s doubles pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty entered their fourth consecutive China Masters semifinal after defeating Denmark’s Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen 21-13, 16-21, 21-18 in the quarterfinals.
The Indian duo had earlier defeated France’s Toma Junior Popov and Christo Popov 21-17, 22-24, 21-9 to reach the last eight.
Srikanth Knocked Out in Quarterfinal
India’s men’s singles campaign ended with Kidambi Srikanth losing to Hong Kong’s Lee Cheuk Yiu 16-21, 16-21 in the quarterfinals.
India’s women’s singles campaign had also ended earlier, with Tanvi Sharma going down to Japan’s Tomoka Miyazaki 17-21, 21-18, 16-21 in a closely fought contest.
The Satwik-Chirag victory keeps India’s hopes alive in the China Masters men’s doubles event.
