India’s Economy Growing Fast, Leaving Major Economies Behind: Kewal Singh Dhillon
Chandigarh: BJP Punjab president Kewal Singh Dhillon said India’s strong economic growth reflects the “capable and visionary leadership” of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asserting that the country continues to move ahead despite economic challenges faced by several nations.
Dhillon highlighted India’s 7.8 per cent GDP growth in the first quarter, calling it evidence of a strong and dynamic economy. He said India’s growth rate compared with major global economies shows that the country is emerging as one of the key engines of global economic growth.
Growth Across Key Sectors
According to Dhillon, the IT and financial services sector grew 12.1 per cent, manufacturing 9.2 per cent, while investment and infrastructure recorded 11.9 per cent growth.
He also pointed to 7.1 per cent growth in domestic consumption and a 12 per cent rise in exports, saying the figures reflect India’s growing domestic strength and expanding role in global markets.
Focus on Developed India 2047
Dhillon said the government’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ is supported by a stronger economy, modern infrastructure, rising industrial production, digital transformation and increasing opportunities for young people.
He said India’s growing economic confidence and global influence demonstrate the potential to become a developed and self-reliant nation by 2047 through strong policies, leadership and public participation.
