Strict Anti-Sacrilege Law Draws Hundreds of Akali Dal and Congress Leaders, Workers into AAP. he leaders who joined the party said that previous governments merely politicized the sensitive issue of sacrilege and worked to protect the guilty

Chandigarh, May 19 The ‘Jagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Bill 2026,’ introduced by the Bhagwant Mann government with the objective of preventing the sacrilege incidents of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and ensuring strict punishment for the guilty, is receiving overwhelming support from the public and political circles. Because of this law’s implementation, several prominent leaders and workers of the Shiromani Akali Dal and the Congress party left their respective traditional parties and joined the Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday. All the leaders were formally inducted into the party by the Chief Minister’s OSD Rajbir Singh Ghuman. The leaders who joined the party said that previous governments merely politicized the sensitive issue of sacrilege and worked to protect the guilty. But by bringing and implementing this law, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann-led government has proven its deep reverence for Guru Sahib. With the introduction of this strict law, anti-social elements attempting to commit sacrilege will be deterred, and Punjab’s religious harmony and peace will be maintained. OSD Ghuman assured all the leaders and workers who joined the party that they would receive full respect and recognition in the Aam Aadmi Party. The prominent leaders who joined the party include Kitu Grewal, former Women President Punjab Congress and Member of Women and Child Welfare (Parliament Election In-charge Jammu & Kashmir); Satpal Singh, former Chairman PUNGRAIN; Kamaldeep Singh Rana Warka, General Secretary Punjab Congress; Samandeep Kaur, President Women Cell Congress Malout; Hardev Singh, former Chairman Block Samiti (B.C.
