Chandigarh: With the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections approaching, political activity in the state has started gaining momentum. The Congress has also stepped up its preparations, with party leader Rahul Gandhi likely to visit Punjab within the next 10 days.

According to information available, the schedule for his visit is almost ready and is expected to be finalised in the coming days. During the visit, Rahul Gandhi is likely to participate in programmes involving Punjab Congress leaders and workers.

Congress Focuses on Strengthening Media Campaign

Ahead of Rahul Gandhi’s proposed visit, the Congress national media department team met Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring.

After the meeting, AICC National Media Coordinator Harishankar said the Congress had begun preparations for the Punjab Assembly elections and that a national-level team had also been assigned responsibility for the state.

The team will focus on strengthening the party’s media campaign and ensuring that its political message reaches voters effectively.

Rahul Gandhi’s Visit Seen as Part of Ground-Level Strategy

The Congress is also looking to use Rahul Gandhi’s Punjab visit to strengthen its campaign at the grassroots level. The party plans to increase its organisational and political activity in the state ahead of the 2027 elections.

With the election battle expected to intensify in the coming months, Rahul Gandhi’s proposed visit could give further momentum to the Congress campaign in Punjab.
