Fuel Price Hike: Raja Warring Slams Modi Government Over Rising Petrol and Diesel Rates

By NewsWave Desk25 May 2026, 08:11 pm179 views

Punjab Congress president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring criticized the Modi government over rising petrol and diesel prices, saying inflation is increasing the burden on common people.

Chandigarh, May 25 – Punjab Congress president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring criticized the Central Government over the continuous rise in petrol and diesel prices. He said the government is putting extra financial pressure on common people even though crude oil prices are low in the international market.

Warring said that petrol and diesel prices have increased by around Rs 7.5 per litre in the past few days. He accused the government of increasing fuel prices step by step and burdening the public with inflation.

He said the rising prices are badly affecting the middle class, farmers, transporters, small businessmen, and daily wage workers. Due to expensive fuel, the prices of vegetables, milk, and other essential items are also increasing.

He added that petrol prices in Delhi have crossed Rs 102 per litre, while diesel prices are close to Rs 95 per litre.

Warring said salaries are not increasing, but inflation is continuously rising, making life difficult for ordinary people.
