Modi Government’s Failed Policies; India Forced to Buy Costly American Oil, Petrol and Diesel Prices Set to Rise Again Soon: Kuldeep Dhaliwal

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab Chief Spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Dhaliwal launched a sharp attack on the Modi-led Central Government

Modi Government Kneeling Before Donald Trump, Surrenders India’s National Interests to America: Kuldeep Dhaliwal Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab Chief Spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Dhaliwal launched a sharp attack on the Modi-led Central Government, saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has surrendered India’s interests into the hands of America. He said that under the recent trade deal between India and the United States, the Modi Government has stabbed the country in the back. According to him, the most dangerous and significant condition of this deal was that India would stop purchasing cheap oil from Russia and instead buy expensive oil from America and its allied nations. He said that the United States first gave India a 30-day window to continue purchasing oil from Russia, then reduced it to 10 days and later to 8 days, and now, from May 16 onwards, has completely tightened the noose around India by forcing it to reduce oil purchases from Russia to the minimum possible level. MLA Dhaliwal said that India, which earlier used to purchase nearly 60 percent of its total oil requirement from Russia at highly affordable prices, has now, due to the Modi Government’s flawed policies, been reduced to importing only 10 percent from Russia. The remaining oil is now being purchased compulsorily from America and countries dictated by America. He said that oil from American-linked countries is now costing more than 110 dollars per barrel. The Modi Government has accepted Donald Trump as the ‘Sarpanch’ of India, and that same Sarpanch is now sitting in America and framing oppressive policies for India. Dhaliwal cautioned the people of the country, the people of Punjab, and farmers that with the stoppage of cheap Russian oil, petrol and diesel prices are set to rise sharply in the coming days. He said the intention of the Modi Government can be clearly understood from the fact that just four to five days ago, CNG prices were increased by Rs 2, and yesterday another Re 1 was quietly increased again. Through this backdoor route, the entire script to make petrol and diesel more expensive has already been prepared. Dhaliwal further said that the restrictions imposed by America on purchasing oil from Russia will directly burden the common people and farmers of India. Dhaliwal said that the BJP-led Central Government is completely anti-farmer, anti-Punjab, and anti-India. Paddy sowing is set to begin in Punjab from June 1, for which farmers will require diesel on a large scale. But I strongly fear that by June 1, Modi and his associates, acting at the directions of their American masters, will create another crisis and push fuel prices through the roof. He said that making Trump the ‘Sarpanch’ of India is costing the country dearly, as it is tightening the noose of economic slavery around the nation’s neck. The Aam Aadmi Party strongly opposes this anti-national and anti-farmer decision of the Modi Government.
