CM Mann meets employee leaders
Chandigarh, September 18, 2026: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday held a meeting with leaders of employee organisations at his official residence in Chandigarh to discuss their pending issues.
The meeting was held at 11 am with representatives of the Joint Coordination Committee and other employee organisations. Twelve employee leaders were invited to the meeting.
DA to reach 50%
Following the meeting, employee representatives said the discussions were held in a cordial atmosphere and their demands were placed before the government. According to the announcement made after the meeting, two instalments of 4% Dearness Allowance (DA) will be released for employees.
The two instalments for 2025 and 2026 will take the DA to 50%. The increased DA is expected to be reflected with the salary for the current month. The meeting comes amid continued discussions between employee organisations and the Punjab government over pending DA and other service-related issues.
