Raja Warring expresses concern over Nepal flood devastation
Chandigarh, August 29, 2026: Punjab Congress President and MP Amarinder Singh Raja Warring has expressed concern over the devastating floods in Nepal, describing the situation as heartbreaking and urging the government and organisations to step forward and assist those affected.
Warring said the visuals emerging from Nepal were deeply disturbing and that he had never witnessed such a tragedy in his life.
‘The situation is very bad’
Speaking about the disaster, Warring said, “The situation is very bad, and I believe we should all come together to help.”
He called for collective efforts to support people affected by the floods and stressed the need for assistance to reach those caught in the disaster.
Concern over Indians reportedly missing
Warring also expressed concern over reports of Indians missing amid the disaster.
He appealed to the government and organisations to take steps to assist affected people and ensure that those caught in the disaster receive the necessary support.
His remarks came as Nepal continued to grapple with the devastating impact of floods and flash floods, with concerns mounting over the safety of people in affected areas.
Appeal for collective action
Warring said a disaster of this scale requires people and organisations to come together and extend support to those in need.
He urged the government, voluntary organisations and other institutions to come forward with relief and assistance as rescue and relief efforts continue in Nepal.
