UBS holds two-day workshop for students
Chandigarh, September 18, 2026: University Business School (UBS), Panjab University, Chandigarh, in association with the Central Placement Cell, organised a two-day workshop on Personality Development and Soft Skills. Held on September 9 and September 16, the workshop focused on strengthening students’ communication, confidence, employability and overall professional readiness. The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Meena Sharma, Honorary Director, Central Placement Cell and Chairperson, UBS, along with Dr. Tilak Raj, Summer Internship Coordinator.
Experts conduct practical sessions
The workshop featured experts from different professional backgrounds who guided students on key aspects of career preparation.
Dr. Amandeep Kahlon, a management professional, consultant and trainer with over 30 years of multi-sectoral experience, spoke about personality development, human skills and growth mindset. He also discussed the importance of managing oneself, others and the professional environment.
Dr. Sneha Sharma, LinkedIn Branding Strategist, Career Spotlight Coach and Founder of Dream Career University, focused on interview preparation and professional presence. Her session covered communication, confidence, body language, personal branding and networking.
Mr. Sahil Arora, a GDPI and aptitude mentor since 2013 and UBS alumnus, conducted a session on resume writing. He highlighted the need for clear, relevant and job-specific resumes.
Mr. Ishwar Sandhu, an educationist with over 18 years of teaching and mentoring experience, focused on interview skills, confidence, personality development and employability.
The sessions provided students with practical guidance on professional communication, growth mindset, LinkedIn branding, ATS-friendly resumes, interview skills and employability, helping them prepare more effectively for the workplace.
